An improv workshop led by Robert Lane, founding member of Improv Wolves and Noteworthy: The Made-Up Musical.
Suitable for all levels — no experience necessary.
Discover the joy of making things up on the spot in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. Expect games, scenes and creative exercises designed to build confidence, spark spontaneity and get you laughing.
Whether you’re completely new to improv or looking to stretch your skills, this workshop is a chance to meet new people, have fun and try something different.
Robert facilitates workshops on topics including songwriting and comedy improvisation and provides regular music and drama sessions for Midland Mencap. As a 2024 Birmingham Rep Foundry Artist he delivered a 12 week co-creation project with a community group, culminating with a performance at Birmingham Rep. He has delivered workshops for a range of age groups in various settings including schools and community hubs.
He is a guest teacher for Birmingham Improv, running Monday night drop in sessions. He is currently running a six week course for Birmingham Improv called All Characters Great and Small. Other current and upcoming projects include a film making project for Forge, a service for young adults with disabilities, a day long workshop on pitching confidently for Severn Arts, and a youth theatre programme for Powered by CAN.
